wherePigsFly/farmfestival_82.jpg Cindy Brenneke, founder of Where Pigs Fly...and dreams come true, a camp for kids had a dream of her own come true Saturday.

Brenneke hosted a fall fund-raiser on her farm near Drake, hoping to raise funds for the project. Brenneke is owner/operator of Iron Works Fitness, a gym in St. Louis. Her contacts there helped her draw a large crowd from the city through Gerald to her farm last weekend. Many locals were also spotted, several were participating in the event. In photo above, the crowd gathered around for the rat races. Six rats were simultaneously released to run along enclosed raceways to the ends of their tracks. Bets were taken on which rat would be the first to finish. Emotions ran high as the crowd eagerly awaited the results. Turtle races also elicited the same excited response. Animals from llamas to newborn piglets were available for viewing. Lots of unusual fowl were on display. Plenty of games and other activities kept the kids well occupied. Brenneke plans to use the funds raised Saturday, to begin construction of the bunkhouse, in the barn’s hayloft. She hopes to host her first campers next summer.

Hi Cindy,
Where Pigs Fly Camp is a paradise for those it is intended for.
Youngsters will have a new experience in the expanse of nature
with animals scurrying, watching, not watching, totally unlike their city life experience.
A stay at Where Pigs Fly Camp is life changing.
And I'll bet the menu is unique to city fare.
With Cindy's fresh, tasty, healthful recipes it will be a draw for all two legged visitors.
The only danger at Where Pigs Fly Camp is from too much rest and happiness.
Cheers to all of Cindy's supporting fans and helpers including the animals.
